On Friday 21st July 2017, Stuart Linnell from BBC Radio Northampton interviewed local resident and campaigner June about the planned extension to Warth Park, the Judicial Review process and the support received from the communities of Raunds and Stanwick to fund the legal challenge.
As an owner of a smallholding adjacent to the proposed expansion, June has more to lose than almost anyone fighting the developers. She described to Stuart how the proposed units will affect her livestock and ultimately her livelihood. June’s worries are representative of hundreds of local residents who have objected to the council, signed petitions, joined social media groups and pledged more than £6000 via crowdfunding.
